Bank of England BIS Hub launch event

The Bank of England and Bank for International Settlements (BIS) Innovation Hub hosted a joint event to celebrate the launch of a new centre of the BIS Innovation Hub in London.

The event included remarks from The Rt Hon Rishi Sunak MP (Chancellor of the Exchequer) as well as an introduction to the BIS Innovation Hub and a panel discussion. Speakers included Andrew Bailey (Governor of the Bank of England), Agustín Carstens (General Manager of the BIS), Benoît Cœuré (Head of the BIS Innovation Hub), Dave Ramsden (Deputy Governor of the Bank of England) and Victoria Cleland (Executive Director, Banking, Payments and Innovation, Bank of England).

Jon Cunliffe (Deputy Governor of the Bank of England), Sujata Bhatia (COO, Monzo), Ann Cairns (Vice Chair, Mastercard), Katharine Braddick (Director General of Financial Services at HM Treasury) and Benoît Cœuré took part in a panel discussion on digital payments and the fintech ecosystem.

The session was moderated by Tangy Morgan (Senior Adviser for the Prudential Regulatory Authority).
